So one of my older journals was announcing that I hated "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic". I didn't explain myself, and that got a lot of people upset. So since I have time, I'll express my distaste for this show. THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION! DON'T LIKE IT?! TOO BAD!

First off, the show is about a Unicorn pony named Twilight sparkle, who is an enthusiastic studier, who is sent to Ponyville, in order to make friends, and "come out of her shell" so to speak. The show revolves around Twilight, with her pony friends, Pinkie Pie, a hyperactive pony, AppleJack, a hard-working farm girl, Rainbow Dash, a pegasus competitor, Rarity, a fashonista, and Fluttershy, a gentle animal lover. The characters are one of my main problems with the show.

Twilight Sparkle: She's WAY too much of a studier. She really reminds me of those kids who are really anti-social, and has little to no friends. She's such a perfectionist, which really irritates me.

AppleJack: I couldn't stand her in one of the new episodes. She left her family because she didn't win a rodeo? Bullshit! Just because you don't win means your family hates you? Yeah..... no!

Fluttershy: OMG I can't stand this girl. If I see one more, "You're going to luv me" reference, I'm gonna choke a bitch. She's always trying to be a pussy. I just dislike her.

Rarity: Wow...... she's the element of Generosity? So, I guess generosity means whine, bitch, and moan until you get what you want. She thinks everyone dirty's uncouth. Frickin OCD bitch.

Pinkie Pie: OH GOD, MAKE HER STOP TALKING!!!!!!!!!

Rainbow Dash: NO I'm not bringing up him. She's way too cocky, and doesn't think things through. How exactly is she "loyal"?

One other thing I dislike about MLP are the Bronies. SRSLY? You watch the show like it's a religion. RLY!? Look. More than 50% of Bronies are fully grown men, who say this show is flawless, and anyone whi disagrees with my opinion should be killed. LOLWUT? Look. My Little Pony: Friendship is magic is for 6 year old girls. Don't you Lauren Faust cock-suckers say "BUT IT'S FOR FAMILIES ASWELL" I don't care what Faust says. It's stilll a little girls show at the end of the day. If you're a girl who likes it.... cool. If you're a guy that likes it..... that's kinda strange.

DISREGARD THE LAST PART!!!! I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE A BRONY. I'M SO SORRY TO ANY OF THOSE SANE PEOPLE I'VE OFFENDED! =(

disregard the last part. I was acting like a dick. I'm so sorry guys. I don't like MLP, but if you like it, then it's cool. So sorry. =(

"Him"

What. Of course, you refer to RD as her later so....

I think he's referring to the fact that Rainbow Dash has a very masculine personality despite being female. She is a blatant tomboy and it's annoying because bronies think it makes her cool. Buttercup from PPG worked because the cartoon tomboy was still mostly fresh at the time; Rainbow Dash is basically a rehash of that archetype.

Yeah, I had trouble figuring out her damn gender when I first heard of this damn mess. Stupid fucking all female cast....

Hell, I don't understand how grown-up MALES can relate themselves to little (7-12 years) GIRLS. I didn't find the character I can relate my current or past personality to.
Maybe that's because I don't have that inner little girl somewhere deep inside me?

It's okay to dislike a show. :hug: Just try not to judge art based on its fanbase. ^^;

Hmm... odd that I never realized this, before, but apparently bronies don't consider Spike... one of the ONLY tolerable characters in the show... as a main character. They say mane 6, which means Rarity, Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. They never... EVER reference Spike. Why is that? What's with the bias against the only good character in the show who isn't a pony or female?

I couldn't care less if someone likes it regardless of their age and gender as long as they don't shove it down my throat, get hyper-defensive the moment anyone implies they're not absolutely in love with the show or says that they quite frankly aren't interested in listening to MLP banter.

In other words the same as with any religion, interest or fandom ever.

In other words, classic vocal minority problem. And the internet has been proven to be entirely unable to understand such a concept ( anime fans, furries ) in the past.

I hope I make sense with this.

I don't know. I'm sorry but I can't agree with you here as I can't help but think of you being a little biased.

A lot of possible credibility was thrown out the window when you basically admitted that you think it's exclusively for girls and that grown men can't be allowed to like a cartoon for girls, yet it's perfectly fine for a grown woman to love it? I say this because I grew up with plenty of cartoons clearly marketed towards boys, but it was always perfectly acceptable for girls to like those things too.

I'm a brony (pegasister?), but I do have to agree with what some of what you say. About the characters mostly, they are pretty damn flawed. But a lot of that is part of teaching lessons in the show.. so I kind of go both ways there.
For the last paragraph.. just.. no. e_e
Most bronies, I would say, don't treat the show like a religion. They don't think you should be killed for your opinion. (and for the record, most of them don't masturbate and/or draw sexual pictures of ponies. :T I would say the majority hates that shit.) Please don't take the small, fucked up portion of a fanbase and declare that they are the mascot of ALL of the fans.
And I don't think that it's wrong for men to watch the show. If someone is secure with their sexuality, then they're going to able to watch and enjoy any show that they want.
